Original music added

I have recorded and added original music to my film. I used a bass as the instrument of choice as I had one available and it has a nice low end to create a creepy horror effect. I simply used two notes throughout the opening of my film, then changed the musical notes to suit the reaction of the viewer and also relate to what was happening in the film.

Finished Editing

Finsihed all the editing for my 2 minute film opening today. All I had to do was edit the last scene and then I added opening credits, and used some special fonts. I downloaded some horror fonts of the internet for a more desired look as I felt the standard fonts on the IMac did not achieve the effect I wanted to show.
Tomorrow I will be giving in my film to my teachers for them to review. I have enjoyed the process of making this 2 minute opening to a film as I have had the chance to use creativity to make something and then see the finished product. I chose to do a horror piece as it let me experiment with certain effective make up. For example fake blood, which I made myself using corn flour, water, golden syrup, red food colouring and coffee to darken it. The fake blood looked very effective and I would use it in future filming. Tonight as I now have an available scanner, I shall also be uploading my final storyboard and vision and sound line.

Finished Last scenes off filming yesterday.

After the third day of filming I've finally finished all my scenes. I would of preferred to have finished my filming earlier however my last scene had to be delayed as it was hard to get the correct lighting since it is filmed in a forest. I feel that the last scene went very well and I am eager to edit it and add it to the rest of my film. I enjoyed filming the last scene as it involved a new area to film in and also I used effects like fake blood. I also used interesting camera angles to achieve certain effects for example my ending scene with mud being thrown over the camera. To achieve this effect i had to cover the camera with a see through bag, although this made the quality decrease, I feel this created a good effect and felt it was worth the decreased quality.

Been a while...

...since my last blog, I've been keeping very busy with storyboarding, research, filming and also editing. I haven't uploaded much of my work yet as I feel I would be more comfortable uploading tidier versions of my research and storyboards that I have done on a computer. During this next week I shall be posting all my work which will include story boards, time lines, original music, my 2 minute film opening and also all my research that I have done over the past weeks.
