For my film poster I studied film posters that had a similar dark city theme. I noticed that many of these posters showed very little information compared to film posters of other genres. The dark, film noir poster style rarely had quotes and reviews on the front. Instead they showed little to no information so that the suspense and excitement for the film release is kept high.
I used my Canon EOS 7D to take the photo for my film poster. I used the ten second self timer mode, pressed the button and dived in the bath for a pose. I chose the bath because in a way it puts me in a box as I have a wall right behind me and to my left. I feel that this made editing easier and gave the poster a professional look.
